U-PICK
Sign ups for U-Pick 2024 and our Fall CSA are now Full! Stay tuned for possible drop-in and pick your own flower opportunities!
Join us on the farm and enjoy harvesting your very own share of the freshest possible vegetables while getting outside, maybe getting a little dirty, and getting involved in our community. We’ll grow a selection of tried-and-true summer favorites like kale, cucumbers, carrots, lettuce, and tomatoes, and you’ll also pick unique varieties of veggies like shishito peppers, pole beans, and tomatillos. Each share will include fresh herbs and flowers. Each week you'll receive an email newsletter, letting you know what you can expect to pick along with helpful tips and recipes to help you plan your shopping and cooking.
This is not intended to be a full-sized CSA share that would replace your food shopping completely, however our members usually find that they get plenty of vegetable goodness from their share. There's no obligation to pick everything on the list and you’re harvesting for yourself--so you never end up with veggies you don't want! Worried about missing out on weeks when you’re out of town? Just let us know ahead of time, and send a friend to pick up your share.
Most of our members truly treasure their time at the farm each week. It’s a time to get outside, enjoy the farm that we’re so lucky to have available to us, and connect with our food and each other.
Take Note: The nature of a CSA is that members join knowing that they are supporting a farm in the winter with the hope of an abundance of vegetables during the summer. The farmers will properly plan and do all they can to grow the vegetables, but there is always a risk that due to natural circumstances (drought, flooding, hail, major pest or disease pressure, etc), the bounty can be effected. On the flip side, if the season goes better than planned, you will be able to reap those rewards!

Work Share: Waitlist Only!
Work Share members work in the U-Pick Garden for 2 hours each week during distribution hours (on Wednesdays or Saturdays) in exchange for their weekly share of veggies. The CGF Farm Team gets all the beds prepped and plants in the ground, and help with maintenance as needed, but we rely on the Workshare CSA members to keep the U-Pick field looking good! We count on Work Share members to work for 10 of the 12 weeks.
It’s hot and sunny, and sometimes rainy, so being willing to work (and sweat!) in all types of weather is important. Typical tasks include: weeding, trellising, putting down hay in pathways, pruning, removing old plants. If you’ve ever wanted a taste of farm work without committing to a full season, this could be for you!

What if I want more than 12 weeks of veggies??
We are piloting a fall CSA this year! This will run for 6 weeks from September 4 through October 12. Our fall CSA will be more of a traditional CSA in which the farmers will harvest and box the shares, with optional U-Pick flowers as long as they hold on.
