Chinese Cabbage Stir Fry

Ingredients 

1 head napa cabbage (Chinese cabbage) 
1 tablespoon vegetable oil 
2 cloves garlic, minced 
2 scallions, chopped 
1 carrot, shredded 
1 sweet red pepper, sliced 
3 tablespoons tamari (gluten-free soy sauce) 
1 teaspoon toasted sesame oil 
1 tablespoon honey 
2 tablespoons sesame seeds 

Directions 

Toast the sesame seeds in a dry skillet over medium heat until lightly brown. Set aside. Combine the garlic, scallion, tamari, sesame oil, and honey to make a sauce. Set aside. 

Sauce can be made in advance and stored in the refrigerator. 

Peel and grate the carrot. 
Slice the napa cabbage into thin shreds. 
In a skillet or wok over medium heat, sauté cabbage and carrot in the vegetable oil until wilted, about 4-5 minutes. 
Garnish with red pepper flakes if desired.
